Shanghai to get panda magic in 2010

SHANGHAI will get cuter and cuddlier just in time for World Expo 2010.
Ten giant pandas from Wolong Nature Reserve in Sichuan Province will be brought to the city and put on display during Expo 2010, according to both the Shanghai Greenery Administrative Bureau and the Shanghai Public Sanitation Administration.
It was not clear if the pandas would be at the Expo site or displayed elsewhere in the city.
The two departments signed a cooperative deal with Wolong Nature Reserve Administration to build a giant panda exhibition.
Wolong Nature Reserve will pick 10 “lively and strong” pandas before February 2010. The pandas are scheduled to be exhibited in the city from March to November that year. The Expo opens on May 1, 2010.
