During the five-day event, 35 such brokers will act as a bridge between private firms and universities, teaching investment teams about the technological achievements of universities and relaying the demands of companies to university departments. "It's completely non-profit for the brokers," said Chen Shanzhong, a broker from the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology. "We are working for the benefit of the city government, universities and private enterprises, and the economy. "It's the scientific and °?technological developments that bind firms and universities together. All we provide is a free information exchange." "There are always realizations and opportunities whenever there's communication," said Guo Limin, department director for scientific and technological development and research at Donghua University.
