The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games said at yesterday's conference that most of the remaining tickets are for soccer matches in the cities of Shanghai, Shenyang, Tianjin and Qinhuangdao. About 20,000 tickets for different sports at Beijing venues will also be sold during that period. The last batch of Olympic tickets went on sale on May 5. Tickets for Beijing venues were practically sold out within two days. So far about 6 million tickets had been sold, accounting for 86 percent of all tickets. The organizing committee began to issue previously purchased tickets on June 16 to spectators in Beijing. Spectators in other cities will begin receiving tickets from June 23. Since too many people purchased tickets from Bank of China outlets, the committee suggested they call the outlet first to make a reservation. The 830,000 tickets for the Paralympic Games will go on sale tomorrow, Beijing Times reported today. People can purchase tickets through the official Website of the Olympic Games, Bank of China outlets and ticket booths at the venues from tomorrow to September 14.
