RESIDENTS rushed to catch a large shoal of mud eels that surfaced on Suzhou Creek at the weekend near Qiangjiadu Bridge. It's believed the eels had just been released upstream.
They were not accustomed to the new environment and moved to the surface to get some air, an experienced fisherman said.
