Jail for robbers

PUTUO District People's Court has sentenced 17-year-old Xiao Peng to six months in prison with probation for robbing lone women to pay for his girlfriend's abortion.
Xiao Peng found his new girlfriend was pregnant at the end of last year. The boy, who dropped out of school two years ago, discussed with his neighbor A Ren how to rob people.
Late at night on December 18, 2007, Xiao Peng drove his father's car with A Ren looking for targets. When they saw a lone woman on Yixian Road, Xiao Peng grabbed the victim's bag. They later robbed two other women in the same way.
A Ren was also sentenced to one year in prison with probation.
