ISLAMABAD, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- At least four suspected militants were killed and another two injured in a U.S. drone strike launched Tuesday night in Pakistan's northwest tribal area of South Waziristan, reported local media ARY.
According to the local media reports, two missiles were fired by a U.S. drone at a house suspected of being a militant's hideout at the Azam Warsak area of South Waziristan which borders Afghanistan.
Details about the identities of the killed in the strike are not immediately available.
Tuesday night's U.S. drone strike is the 53rd of its kind ( counted on daily basis) in Pakistan in 2011. To date, a total of 467 people, most of them believed to be militants, have reportedly been killed in such strikes.
