Another hazy day for the Bund
Another choking day is forecast for Shanghai tomorrow with the air quality index exceeding 300, indicating severe pollution, the highest level in the city’s AQI system.
It will be the second time the level has been reached since the city’s official AQI records began a year ago. The other severely-polluted day was on Monday.
The Shanghai Environmental Monitoring Center says conditions will be worst in the morning, with an AQI between 305 and 350, but there will be some slight relief in the afternoon.
The weather bureau blames a lack of wind and rain for smog continuing to blight the city.
